ROBERTO S. BEALL
I spent most of my formative years growing up in many different countries across the world, learning to play soccer in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; Montevideo, Uruguay and Bogota, Colombia as part of an American diplomatic family. I got my start as a youth player representing world famous C.A. Penarol in Uruguay. I played Division I soccer in the United States for the University of Vermont, where I captained the Catamounts to consecutive conference championships and NCAA Tournaments (in 1989, UVM advanced to the 'Elite Eight' in the NCAA Tournament and achieved a 'Top 10' national ranking - scroll down to read more about "THE DREAM SEASON"). During my collegiate career I received All-Conference, All-Region & All-America honors - and was inducted into the University of Vermont Athletic Hall of Fame.
